Thane Stenner is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and is a Director, Wealth Management, Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager, and Investment Advisor of Stenner Wealth Partners+ at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management Canada and Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management (USA), Inc. He has spent more than three decades understanding and managing the unique financial complexities facing wealthy investors, family offices, and institutional fiduciaries in North America. Thane is cross border licensed with FINRA in the USA, and with IIROC in Canada. As a prior member of the Morgan Stanley/Graystone Consulting Advisory Board, he is a global leader in Investment Consulting, and is continually raising the bar for customized and strategic investment solutions.
Thane hosts a podcast produced by BNN Bloomberg Brand Studio called "Smart Wealth with Thane Stenner" and is frequently quoted in BNN Bloomberg, CNBC, Financial Post, The Globe and Mail and many others. Throughout his career, he and his team have achieved numerous national and international awards and recognition for their work as Wealth Advisors serving ultra-high net worth clients, family offices, and institutional fiduciaries, including being named to Barron’s 2020 and 2019 Top 50 Institutional Consultants in North America (highest #1 ranking California-based team). Thane was also recently featured in The Top 100 Magazine’s “Top 100 in Finance” (2021) and was the #2 nationally ranked Advisor in Canada by Wealth Professionals in 2017, Outstanding Wealth Management Practice by Wealth Professionals in 2014, and winner of the Five-Star Wealth Management Award in 2012.
Thane and his team have clients based in San Francisco and The Bay Area as well as across Canada. He was previously licensed as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley in the U.S. and as a Registered Representative with Morgan Stanley Canada Limited, while being based in the Bay Area. At Morgan Stanley, Thane acted as a Managing Director, Institutional Consulting Director, Alternative Investments Director, and International Client Advisor. The StennerZohny Group advised on more than $20B USD in assets (as of 09/30/2020), and was part of the $336B Graystone Consulting division of Morgan Stanley, with an aggregated $2.7T USD of client assets under management.
Prior to founding the StennerZohny Group of Graystone Consulting at Morgan Stanley, Thane was also the Founding Member, Chairman Emeritus and former Managing Director of TIGER 21 Canada. TIGER 21 is an exclusive North American peer to peer network of high net worth investors with approximately 850 members who collectively manage in excess of $90B USD in assets. Thane was previously a TIGER 21 Global Advisory Board Member.
Thane graduated cum laude from Arizona State University with an honors degree in finance and a specialization in investment analysis and portfolio management. He also attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Program. Thane is active in various professional associations including UBC Business Families Centre’s Professional Advisory Committee and the Canadian ETF Association. He is deeply passionate about many charitable organizations, including the YMCA, the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and Partnership for a Drug Free Canada.
Thane is happily married and spends his free time with family and enjoys traveling, hockey, fishing, golf, and various artistic and philanthropic outlets. He is also an avid Peloton spin class enthusiast.
Julia Cheng, FMA
Vice President, Investment Advisor
Julia Cheng is Vice President, Investment Advisor with Stenner Wealth Partners+ at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Julia provides high standards of customer service to our ultra-high net worth clients. She works closely with our investment team and is actively involved in helping to implement investment strategy. Julia brings an exceptional level of care and attention to detail on the investment execution platform for clients and leads the team in day to day administrative operations.
Julia is a graduate of Simon Fraser University (SFU) where she attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. She holds the Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation and has completed many Professional Development courses including Professional Financial Planning and Derivatives & Options licensing.
Julia enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter Kayla, traveling and attending her fitness dance class.
Associate, Financial Analysis
Simon Jochlin is an Associate, Financial Analysis at Stenner Wealth Partners+ at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management. He is licensed as a Broker and Investment Advisor in the United States. He is principally involved in quantitative and statistical portfolio modeling, analytics, reporting and asset allocation. Using a risk managed framework, Simon’s key strengths lie in evaluating technical trends in securities markets (such as momentum, breadth, and sentiment) as investable opportunities within a macroeconomic framework. Drawing from a diverse background in computer programming, psychology, finance, and economics, Simon’s focus resides in finding cyclical, deep value contrarian opportunities for clients of Stenner Wealth Partners+. With a knack for simplifying complex ideas, Simon also helps to lead the client communications effort within the group, helping to quarterback a high-touch, client-centric wealth management process.
Prior to joining Stenner Wealth Partners+, Simon was a Financial Advisor and Financial Planning Specialist with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. He also acted as an Institutional Consultant within Graystone Consulting, a separate business unit of Morgan Stanley with more than 40 years of experience advising institutional clients as a fiduciary and was institutionally registered with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Canada. He was also recognized in Wealth Professional Canada Young Guns in 2017.
He was a competitive triathlete in Canada’s Subaru Western Triathlon Series, a personal trainer, and he played varsity water polo at Simon Fraser University. In his free time, Simon enjoys surfing, traveling to remote hiking destinations and spending time with family.
Janzen Lee, CFA
Janzen Lee is an Investment Advisor and Registered Representative with Stenner Wealth Partners+. In this capacity he aids the investment team in the evaluation and implementation of various investment strategies based on traditional securities as well as alternative assets. He focuses on global multistrategy research and international markets and assets. Janzen also helps the team implement portfolio construction and rebalancing strategies based on asset return assumptions and volatility profiles.
Prior to joining SWP+, Janzen was an Analyst for the StennerZohny Group of Graystone Consulting at Morgan Stanley in San Francisco from 2019 to 2021. There his role involved macroeconomic research and evaluation of the role of diversification into alternative assets for Canadian Institutional and High Net Worth client portfolios. He also served as an Analyst at a Fund of Hedge Funds in Vancouver, Canada from 2017 to 2019.
Janzen is a CFA® Charterholder and is currently a Level II Candidate of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Program sitting for the exam in March 2022. His other accreditations include a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) from the Canadian Securities Institute, and his Series 7 and 66 registrations in the United States. Janzen is currently registered as an Investment Adviser and Broker in the United States with Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management (USA) Inc.
Janzen lives a very active lifestyle – being a regular skier at Whistler in the winter months and an avid hiker, runner, and amateur tennis player in the summer.

Becky Howarth is an experienced Associate in the financial industry, having previously worked with multiple HNW teams at Macquarie Private Wealth and Richardson Wealth in Calgary before moving to Vancouver to work for StennerZohny Investment Partners+, a private Multi-Family Office within Richardson Wealth. She currently is an Associate Investment Advisor with Stenner Wealth Partners+ which specializes in providing first class services to ultra-high net worth Investors, Family Offices and Institutional clients across North America.
Becky works closely with Thane and Julia in managing client services and ensuring the highest standards are being achieved through a variety of duties including sub-branch support, administration and onboarding while offering leading service to our high net worth clients.
Becky has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) with The Canadian Securities Institute and is a Registered Representative with IIROC. She continues her education in the financial industry as she is currently studying for the Wealth Management Essentials course.
Becky was born and raised in the Okanagan and has taken time away to travel the world living in Europe and Australia. She is happy to be close to her roots in Vancouver and enjoys organizing charitable fundraisers, planning and coordinating events, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Shelley brings over two decades of experience to Stenner Wealth Partners+, with the past 14 years working in Melbourne, Australia as a Senior Investment Assistant for Macquarie - a leading Investment Bank - and other Boutique firms specializing in Ultra High Net Worth clients, including Escala Partners. Shelley has learned from leading Finance and Investment organizations. She has worked closely with successful Advisors and Partners who deal in the ultra-high net wealth space with institutional, hedge fund, and sophisticated investors. Shelley manages to bring the team together and assist with daily tasks across all aspects of the business.
Shelley was born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario but considers Vancouver home. She enjoys spending most weekends with her daughter and husband, hiking and experiencing the outdoors.
Justynne Stenner, BSc

Justynne Stenner is an Associate, Client Services at Stenner Wealth Partners+ within Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management. Justynne has recently earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a Business Minor and a Finance Specialization at the University of Victoria. She is currently a Level I candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program sitting for the exam in November 2021. Justynne is also planning to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and become a Registered Representative in the near future.
In her spare time, Justynne's hobbies include spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking, and playing soccer.
Seth Stenner, BBA
Associate, Financial Analysis
Seth Stenner is an Associate, Financial Analysis of Stenner Wealth Partners+ at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management. Seth enhances SWP+ through his numerous contributions to the team including sourcing data, analyzing financial reports, strategic insight to the investment committee, and applying financial models to identify risks, trends, and contrarian investment opportunities.
On his path to joining SWP+, Seth interned with Richardson GMP Wealth Management from 2014 to 2017. In 2016, at the age of 20, Seth founded a highly successful contracting and snow removal company growing it to a 7-figure organization in fewer than 5 years.
Seth has attained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Economics from the University of the Fraser Valley School of Business and received two prestigious academic research awards during his time there. He completed the Canadian Securities Course through the Canadian Securities Institute in 2015 and the Conduct and Practices Handbook course in 2021. Seth is currently a Level II Candidate of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program sitting for the exam in February 2022.
Seth is a registered stem cell donor, used in the life-saving treatment of Leukemia patients, and passionately supports Vancouver General Hospital & The University of British Columbia Hospital Foundation alongside other community charities.
Among other things, Seth spends his free time with his family and golden retriever Cruiser, exploring natural hot springs, tending to his twenty chickens, and learning from history’s great thinkers.
Hope Sagun, MBA
Associate, Marketing & Communications
Hope is a trusted and strategic advisor of the team in leading and executing a full complement of communications and media initiatives to drive growth and enhance market positioning for Stenner Wealth Partners+ at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management. Hope is a versatile and creative person with 24 years of marketing communications experience in the financial services, logistics, and IT sectors in various locations such as FedEx Express in Hong Kong, Fujitsu in Japan, and more recently, as the Global Recruitment Marketing Manager for ANZ Bank in Melbourne, Australia.
She has received awards from the prestigious Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival – as a Bronze Awardee for Radio, two-time Finalist for Outdoor/Billboard Ad, and a Finalist for Press/Print Ad. In addition to that, she was a volunteer lead in worthy causes such as Teach for All, whose mission is to expand educational opportunity around the world and Habitat for Humanity, where she led 45 volunteers to build the foundation for four houses in disaster-stricken areas.
Hope has a master’s degree in business administration from Ateneo Graduate School of Business. In her free time, Hope enjoys spending time with her family, eating sushi, and traveling to beautiful places around the world.
